Civil Construction Foreman/Foreperson

$100-$130K based on experience, union rate + pick-up truck + 407 + pension & benefitsOUR CLIENT
Our client is offering an opportunity to join them in their growth as a Civil Foreman/Foreperson. Business lines include: water/sewer, grading, deep excavation, concrete prep, storm water.This role will provide leadership, schedules/coordination and will supervise to ensure productivity and safety. As an effective communicator, the Foreman/Foreperson will act as a management liaison for clients, consultants and the company.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• 5 years of experience in the construction industry
• 3 years of experience as a Lead Hand or Acting Foreman.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions using sound judgment and critical thinking.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

WHAT’S REQUIRED

• Supervision of the lay out, assembly and installation of various materials in consultation with Project Superintendent or manager to plan sequencing and schedule for field installation
• Coordinating and supervising daily activities of a team up to 10 people
• Responsible for establishing a safe work environment that complies Health & Safety program.
• Interacting with other company supervisors, inspectors and clients
• Following project plans and schedules and ensuring that the crew’s daily and weekly activities meet production goals.
• Ordering through dispatch the proper equipment, materials and workforce for the following days activities
• Obtaining and preparing grade sheets from construction plans
• Extended work day hours and on-call may be required based on schedule or for jobsite emergencies.
