That’s what makes us RocheThe Commercial Data Engineer is responsible for supporting the Advanced Analytics team to build and deliver value from data assets for the Commercial organization through effective database management, computer language applications and data science knowledge and skills.You will support the Advanced Analytics team with documentation, automations, setting up and deployment of machine learning prototypes and web applications. Also, you will play a meaningful role in ensuring the optimal set up and execution of data projects that support the Commercial organization with delivering outcomes that deliver more benefits for more patients, society and Roche faster.The OpportunityTransforming, testing, visualizing and documenting analytic data productsIdentify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsCollaborate multi-functionally with data & insights peers and business partners to discover high impact opportunities and deliver robust solutions to enable self-service analyticsUnderstand where various opportunities fit into the broader strategies and prioritize competing demands to ensure the most impactful items are deliveredParticipate as a data professional in an agile team to deliver robust and reliable analytics to business stakeholders as well as participate in discovery sessions, iterative refinement cycles with technical team and sprint planningDevelop high-impact data layers, user interfaces and other tools to enable self-service analyticsProvide product ownership of data products and analytical solutionsWho you areYou hold a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Informatics (or equivalent) with 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare analytics.You have an investigative and curious mindset and easily understand business rules and application to data as well as having exceptional communication and collaborative skills.You have experience working with databases for analytic solutions (Tableau, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, SQL Server) as well as being highly experienced working with data and analytic report interpretation. You are an astute Python programmer and have experience with GitYou demonstrate experience with building and maintaining semantic layers and self-service visualization technologies (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, SAP Analytics Cloud etc.) for non-technical end-user useYou can build ETLs for self-use in your analytic solutions (Alteryx, dbt, Talend etc.) and have the ability to write complex SQL queries, ad-hoc data pipelines and familiarity with dimensional modeling / data warehouse concepts / object-oriented programmingPreferredYou possess experience of healthcare data in a regulated environmentYou have experience with agile methodology and working in agile teamsYou have ability with Airflow, dbt, Kubeflow, Streamlit and any related tools.Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.Who we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
