Job description: Position: Concrete Finisher-Bonnybrook WastewaterTreatment PlantProject Type: WaterProject Location: CalgaryShift: DaySchedule: Monday to FridayAccommodations: Local OnlyTravel Details: Not AvailableGC: GrahamAllied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc.Reference Number: 27032We are currently recruiting for a Concrete Finisher to join the team at the Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant project in Calgary!This position is in Calgary, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.Shift is 5 days on 2 days off – with occasional nights and weekends.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Place, finish, and patch concrete
- Chip and demolish concrete
- Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and alignment.
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
- Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
- Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill.
- Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of related work experience
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015
