This includes assisting in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction activities, ensuring smooth execution of capital projects, facility maintenance, and space decommissioning across ATB’s corporate and retail networks.Acting as a key point of contact, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle, while supporting budget tracking, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring quality standards are met. Additionally, you will help maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring each project adheres to timelines, budgets, and ATB’s high standards.PP&S is ATB’s real estate and facilities business unit and leads: real estate strategy, workplace optimization & experience, spatial design, construction, project management, leasing & subleasing management, facilities management & maintenance, asset management, facility operations, occupational health & safety, and physical security. PP&S oversees ATB’s 1.5 million square feet of space and the team is deeply connected to transforming banking through ATB’s client facing locations, and leading the way with corporate workplace transformation, both of which bring ATB’s mandate to life and make it possible for Albertans.AccountabilitiesConstruction Coordinator Accountabilities:Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction activities for life cycle capital projects, facility maintenance, and space decommissioning.
  • Site Safety & Security: Coordinate appropriate site access and safety controls in accordance with ATB & OH&S requirements to maintain compliance with internal regulations and legislation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact, with assistance from Design & Construction peers, for internal business partners and external vendors and authorities having jurisdiction on construction execution, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports when needed. Prepare regular updates for senior management.
  • Budget Management: Assist in monitoring assigned project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial objectives are met by coordinating with business partners.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with Design & Construction team members to achieve ATB’s standards and specifications, as well as relevant codes and regulations in conjunction with AHJs.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and work proactively with vendors to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for project management and construction processes within the team.

As the ideal candidate you possess:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction coordination, project management, or a related role, preferably within a retail facing capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience using G-Suite would be an asset.
  • PMP, LEED AP, or similar certifications are an asset.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheets) and construction-related software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, policies, regulatory requirements and industry information affecting ATB’s environment.
