Job description: Job Description:Are you an experienced Construction Manager with an Electrical and/or Instrumentation Journeyperson ticket who is adept at overseeing precise E&I projects. A background in E&I construction and maintenance is required for the role. Join us to drive excellence in construction management and E&I operations.What would you be doing?
- Lead and play an active role in delivering FLINT’s HSE policies, programs, and initiatives. Be a role model of the FLINT safety culture to field supervision, fostering a zero-incident safety culture as a natural part of all work performed.
- Interface with the client representatives through project development, implementation, and completion.
- Implement the contract to the client’s requirements and specifications. Ensure the scope of work, terms, conditions, and specifications are clearly understood and communicate them to management and team members.
- Overseeing multiple projects and ensuring the follow-through plans are developed and directed at meeting project goals and objectives.
- Assist with developing the original budget, managing changes, and determining progress
- Flexibility with day-to-day tasks as the project scope evolves and per management direction.
- Electrical and Instrumentation Estimation and Project Monitoring complete the life cycle of projects.
- Ensure that daily and weekly short-range planning is implemented correctly at the foreperson level.
- Responsible for workforce planning, including developing all work scopes, shift schedules, and fieldwork packages to implement and control all work to a safe and efficient completion.
- Provide coaching, technical training, and performance reviews for direct reports.
- Ensure all field activities in the assigned territory meet or exceed safety, quality, schedule, and cost by efficiently using all resources, including staffing, materials, tools, and equipment.
Does this sound like you?
- Experience managing the E&I aspects of brownfield/greenfield construction, maintenance, and plant shutdowns.
- Experience and ability to read and interpret Schematics, Drawings, and Requests for Proposals relating to Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Utilize systems for estimating, scheduling, and/or project management.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Expertise in fostering relationships and leading teams in a positive environment.
- Field experience in Oil and Gas construction and maintenance is an asset.
- Mechanical Aptitude is also considered an asset.

- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
