Job description: The OpportunityAs a Construction Manager working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau, you will play a key role in managing all construction activities related to the development and implementation of a project. Working on our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will have the opportunity to manage complex construction projects while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.What You Will Do
- Oversee all construction activities within their section, including compliance with agreements and Early Works Infrastructure.
- Develop detailed construction plans and schedules, factoring in site conditions, resource needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Direct and coordinate construction tasks such as excavation, foundation work, and bridge erection to ensure timely and compliant completion.
- Prepare and submits budget estimates for construction projects.
- Lead pre-construction phases using various methodologies and ensure timely and accurate responses for value engineering and risk management.
- Review and provide feedback on project documentation, participate in design meetings, and oversees the development of cost information.
- Implement quality control measures, enforce safety protocols, and ensure environmental compliance for construction activities.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, develop site logistics and construction management plans, and evaluate project risks and procurement options.
What YOU Will Bring
- Degree in civil engineering, architecture, engineering, planning, construction, law, or a related field.
- PMP and P.Eng. qualifications will be given preference.
- Demonstrated familiarity with your local Building Code, Health & Safety regulations, and regulatory permit requirements for the construction industry.
- 15+ years professional experience working as an Construction Manager on large, multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects.
- Valuable experience in projects with: Structures, Seismic conditions, works bellow the water table.
- Knowledge of government regulations regarding the construction industry
- Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project /Gantt chart planning tools
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
The expected salary range for this opportunity is $143,000 – $194,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above.
