You’ll be responsible for:Leadership and Team Guidance

  • Leadership and Direction: Working as part of the senior construction delivery team, taking direction from the construction lead and SLT, while providing guidance to the wider team.
  • Promoting Business Priorities: Promoting and driving the business’s priorities through construction to production, digital and data, and responsible business practices.

Project Delivery and Coordination

  • Short-term Planning: Formulating and implementing short-term plans to meet programme deliverables, effectively communicating and coordinating with trade/sub-contractors.
  • Safety, Wellbeing, and Quality: Owning the safety, wellbeing, and quality deliverables for specific sections of the project, contributing to a strong culture of health, safety, and wellbeing onsite.

Stakeholder and Relationship Management

  • Client and Design Relationships: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and the Design CMT, ensuring a thorough understanding of QA processes leading to final sign-off.
  • Internal and External Collaboration: Maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships, working collaboratively towards common goals including the net zero carbon transition.

Technical Expertise and Continuous Improvement

  • Technical Expertise: Providing comprehensive technical expertise and understanding of Mace onsite standards, ensuring their implementation across the project.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing continuous improvement plans and key business improvements, supporting managers in leading focused forecast lookahead meetings.

Environmental Responsibility

  • Net Zero Carbon Transition: Collaborating towards the goal of net zero carbon transition, identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

You’ll need to have:

  • Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the aviation sector.
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
  • Experience working in the aviation infrastructure sector.
  • Experience in a senior project level position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent industry qualification or chartership.
  • Previous experience working with the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) or equivalent.
