Job DescriptionAs a Project Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting project management activities, ensuring smooth coordination, and facilitating the successful execution of construction projects.Your Key Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining the project schedule using MS project
- Providing the necessary information and updates
- Assisting the Senior PM and supporting Project Managers
- Coordinating procurement of materials and equipment required for project execution
- Support resource allocation, tracking, and management to optimize project efficiency
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and permits
- Preparing regular progress reports, summarizing project status, milestones achieved, and potential risks
- Managing change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project-related documents
- Reviewing invoices/timesheets for project manager’s approval
- Performing other duties as assigned by the senior project managers
QualificationsWhat You’ll Need:
- Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architectural degree an asset
- Previous experience working in a commercial or industrial setting as a project coordinator
- Capability to read and draw sketches and preliminary drawings in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in MS Project
- Valid drivers license and capability to travel to sites for visits and inspections
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an asset
- Familiarity with CAD software and construction industry-specific tools
- Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and relevant regulation
