Job description: Construction Project ManagerThe Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the full management, planning, monitoring, contracting, and supervision of construction projects related to the creation and modernization of data centers, both for new and existing ones (industrial construction). The ideal candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of mechanical, civil, electrical, and building engineering systems and principles, as well as substantial experience in managing construction projects with budgets ranging from $10 to $300 million. Prior experience in fields such as healthcare, utilities, or defense is considered a crucial asset for this role. The candidate will work closely with design engineers, junior project managers, and drafters to ensure compliance with all design requirements.In-depth knowledge of codes and standards such as IEEE, CBC, RBQ, etc. is required for the ideal candidate, who must also be a member of the OIQ, PEO, or another Canadian engineering organization.Fluency in French and English is essential, as is an ASP construction safety certification, or the willingness to undergo internal training. The candidate will receive support to obtain federal government security clearance.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Gantt charts and project schedules for new projects and modernize existing projects as needed.
  • Chair design meetings, vendor meetings, and contractor meetings.
  • Collaborate with engineers to obtain specification documents, bid documents, reports, and contract documents.
  • Liaise with utilities and municipalities to obtain permits and utility improvements.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations to clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain the stakeholder register, requirements register, etc., in accordance with PMBOK principles and standards.
  • Assume other project-related responsibilities as assigned.

Note: Occasional travel to the United States and the European Union may be required.Profile:

  • DEC or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant experience could substitute for the degree
  • Over 2 years of experience in the construction field

Contract Information:

  • Permanent full-time position
  • 40 hours per week
  • Group insurance including vision and dental
  • 2 days per week of remote work
  • Open to travel for work
  • $105,000 to $140,000

Expected salary: $105000 – 135000 per year
