Location: Toronto, ON
Salary: $85k-$110k plus 10-20% KPI bonuses, full benefits, and vehicle allowanceAbout the Position:

You will directly report to and work alongside this construction professional and general contractor (GC), gaining valuable experience and opportunities for career growth.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage ICI construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, including progress, financials, and risks.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
  • Implement and maintain effective project management processes and documentation.
  • Interact with architects and designers to help grow the business.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones. Utilize project management tools to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Budget Management: Prepare detailed budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met. Address any budgetary discrepancies promptly.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of professionals, including engineers, subcontractors, and laborers. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain stringent quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address any issues proactively to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns. Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation. Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, financials, and risks to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial and industrial construction, including both ground-up and interior/renovation work.
  • Proven experience managing $500,000+ ICI projects in Ontario.
  • Experience with hotels and industrial projects such as storage facilities is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and Ontario regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel periodically within Ontario (all expenses paid).
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
