Job description: Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager, the Construction Scheduler works closely with the project manager, the owner, the architect, the engineer, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the construction planning phase.
As a Construction Scheduler you will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with various teams and departments, and ensuring that all construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
Your key duties will include:Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or obstacles.
Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project timelines and milestones.
Analyze project schedules to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
Collaborate with the project team to develop contingency plans and mitigate potential risks.
Provide regular reports and updates on project schedules to management and other stakeholders.
Stay current on industry best practices and trends in construction scheduling.
Project Planning:Develop project schedules.
Lead Project Pre-Construction meetings.Budget Management:Select and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
Change Management:Assess impacts on project scope, budget, resources, and scheduling.
Analyze feasibility.
Issue RFP to vendors/contractors.
Implement changes, update budget and project documents.
Evaluate changes.Process improvement:Conduct Vendor Evaluations.Support the growth and development of company culture and professionally represent Northland Properties.What are we looking for?Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a construction scheduler or project coordinator in a large construction company
Proficiency in industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
