• Supports the Equipment and the Materials manager in leading the preparation of commercial bids and change orders. The procurement department will provide support, in the process, policy and procedures to efficiently engage with the market and with the client.
• Holds meetings with technical and construction teams to identify requirements.
• Discusses, drafts, reviewis and negotiates the terms of business contracts.
• Support scommercial, procurement and finance teams to ensure that all applicable contract documentation, bonds and insurances are in place.
• Monitors schedule performance of different vendors.
• supports claims management with vendors.
• Supports operation departments in overseeing invoicing.

You bring:

• experience in working in a team environment, put a priority in being a team player.  Availability to work in Toronto, Canada, long-term.  Ability to communicate properly in English both spoken and written, in a professional environment, or provable ability to get this level in no more than three months.  Provable ability to work under pressure.  Ability and willingness to adapt to different environments (Different resources, different requirements/rules, differences in human resources management)  Demonstrated negotiation skills  Decision making capacity Valued experience:  Engineering, business or law degree.  Understanding of the railway industry in Light Rail Transit, Metrolinx and Class I railroads environment.
