Job description: Founded in 2020, EDRA Media USA LLC is the American subsidiary of the global leader LSWR Group, which specializes in publishing and communication in the field of animal and human health. Duck & Partners is a communication agency that has worked exclusively in the field of animal and human health for almost 20 years. We also manage the virtual community CommuniVET.com, which includes thousands of animal health professionals in Canada. Duck & Partners and CommuniVET are now part of LSWR Group and report directly to Edra Media USA.Edra Publishing is currently seeking a blingual Controller for its three North American subsidiaries: Edra Media USA, Duck Partners, and CommuniVET.You will perform the following functions for the 3 subsidiaries:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Monitor cash flow funds.
- Perform daily banking transactions (electronic payments, transfers, etc.).
- Process payroll and expense reports.
- Process year-end payroll tax forms.
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, receivables, payables).
- Reconcile credit card statements.
- Produce GST/QST tax report.
- Post billing and journal entries in Oracle accounting software.
- Perform collection tasks for accounts receivables.
- Assign tasks and validate work given to junior accounting technician.
- Coordinate all insurance renewals.
- Collaborate with external accountant for year-end closure.
- Perform administrative tasks related to business management such as preparing various reports, coordinating with our external IT service, handling various requests, and more.
- Perform other administrative tasks that may assist in the smooth operation of the three North American subsidiaries.
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Holds at least a college diploma in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Has 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Proficient in English and French, both spoken and written (mandatory bilinguism).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
- Knowledge of Oracle software will be considered as asset.
- Knowledge of Employeur-D is considered an asset.
- Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientation, attention to detail, and proactivity.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Be resourceful, curious, enjoy technology, and have a strong desire to learn.
- Be a resident of the Greater Montreal area and enjoy working 100% remotely.
