Job description: This Controller Position Features:Booking interviews!A large industrial company is looking for a Controller to manage their finance teamSalary $150,000- $160,000Fully in the office located in MississaugaFull benefits including 3 weeks vacation and RRSP’s and health and dental-Hours are 8-5pm flexibility Monday to FridayKey Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee all Financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, credit reporting, insurance, tax, and treasury. The successful candidate will be involved with the review and re-design of the accounting and statistical data and reports as needed.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute financial strategy and forecasting models, providing insight and trusted counsel to the President and Managing Director as needed on financial and broad-based business issues related to the company’s overall performance.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting, guiding cost controls and cash flow management.
  • Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organization. Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing, cross-functional finance team. Lead team members in supporting the operations and growth of the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to support financial objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent financial certification (CA, CMA, or CGA).
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a senior financial management role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with a company with international operations and/or were involved in wholesale distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and proficiency with financial software. Advanced Excel skills are an asset.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, risk management, deal structuring, and negotiations.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering an environment of growth and development.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, plus excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with US tax and compliance regulations is an asset.
