You will help the company plan, analyze, perform diligence and support the operations of various business functions.The Corporate Accountant role is a key business partner helping department heads generate and execute their financial and strategic plan. This role will enable you to utilise your strong analytical and communication skills to build strong relationships and help shape the financial future of our company.The role is ideal for a motivated individual with a willingness to learn, overcome challenges, and desire to grow within Finance.Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be responsible for accuracy in our financial reporting, checking our balances, reconciling accounts, and investigating any variances;
  • Responsible for identifying and developing critical process improvements to help Q4 scale our reporting and financial operations;
  • Through your flux analysis you’ll provide key insights to stakeholders that summarizes and tells the “story” to help make important decisions as we grow;
  • Be a key team member in the preparation of annual consolidated and statutory audit, investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance;
  • Assist with federal, state, local, and special tax returns;
  • Advise, develop or amend accounting systems, policies, and procedures;
  • Contribute to the building, preparation and presentation of monthly internal and external reporting packages including monthly Financial Statements and analysis; and
  • Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out reconciliation procedures.

Education, Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hands-on accounting from a small/mid-sized public accounting firm and/ or accounting experience in a publicly listed company would be ideal;
  • Completed or working toward a CPA, or international equivalent;
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting practices;
  • Experience with preparing month-end reporting including account reconciliations;
  • Experience working with international subsidiaries, including statutory reporting requirements, would be given favourable consideration;
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS principles and financial statement preparation;
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets (Vlookups, nested formula functions, Pivot Tables, Charts);
  • Previous experience in a SaaS or Subscription-based organization, and with Netsuite is an asset;
  • Confidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions, finding scalable solutions and driving continuous improvement;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; and
  • The desire to work in a fast-growing dynamic environment.
