We place considerable focus on a culture that nurtures imagination in an atmosphere where people are free to perform to their fullest potential in an open and friendly environment.The RoleThe Corporate Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. This role will also provide analysis and insight into results to support internal reporting and decision-making.Responsibilities:

• Perform and review month-end close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain supporting schedules for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany balances, and other key accounts.
• Support preparation of internal financial reports, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
• Assist with audit samples and financial statement note preparation as required.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and internal accounting policies.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting and assist with audit requests.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, FP&A, and other departments to ensure proper recording of transactions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects, analysis, and system improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) preferred or in progress.
• Minimum 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and practical application in a business environment.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Business Central) considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
