Job description: Job Description:We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Cost Accountant to join our clients growing finance team. The successful candidate will collaborate with different departments, providing accurate costs for manufactured products, maintaining cost files, participating in the inventory process, and assisting in other accounting projects as required. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy workplace with a wide range of responsibilities.Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate product costs and maintaining/updating cost files.
- Liaising with different departments on various assigned projects and addressing issues in a timely manner.
- Sorting information into a logical format using complex Excel formulas.
- Assisting with physical inventory results analysis and any inventory gain or loss.
- Participating in the PLM project team for assigned support area and providing direction related to data, costing and inventory changes.
- Completing period-end material consumption model and reviewing the results of material consumption adjustments and inventory balances.
- Performing sales and product line profitability analysis and identifying operational savings opportunities.
- Working remotely and in-office as required
- Performing other duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements:Qualification and Skill Requirements:
- 3-5 years of costing related experience as a general accountant.
- Knowledge of cost and inventory systems and management accounting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task several projects at once.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A professional and positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
- The ability to work independently and interpret financial data.
- Demonstrated willingness to adjust quickly to changing priorities.
