If you are an accounting professional with 5+ years of relevant experience-including demonstrated expertise in job costing, project budgeting, and financial reporting within the real estate or construction industries-this opportunity is tailor-made for you.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed cost analysis and maintain financial controls
- Prepare budget reports, forecasts, and project performance evaluations
- Analyze job costs and ensure proper allocation of expenses to specific projects
- Monitor variances between projected and actual costs to identify trends and opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to provide cost-effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, GAAP principles, and company policies
- Prepare month-end close procedures related to cost accounting and provide supporting documentation for audits
Requirements:
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience, specifically in real estate and/or construction industries
- Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and cash flow management
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Exceptional analytical skills, precise attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
