With Building Products of Canada, Saint-Gobain will be well positioned to better serve Canadian customers, to whom it will bring a broader innovative and sustainable range of solutions.In support of this acquisition “BP Canada”, has an exciting career opportunity for a Cost accountant based out of our Edmonton office.Primary Responsibilities:

• Accounting, analysis and review of all manufacturing related expenses.
• Analysis of department expenses and capital spending
• Standard cost variances analysis
• Posting manufacturing cost on daily bases.
• Analysis of all balance sheet accounts.
• Completes daily, monthly and annual ledger processes
• Plan and schedule annual and cyclical inventory counts.
• Reconcile actual stock count to computer generated reports
• Trouble shoot raw material issues

Is this job for you ?Qualifications and Skills:

• Enrolled in accounting designation, CMA or CGA
• Degree/diploma in accounting
• 5 years or more experience. Preference will be given to candidates with manufacturing accounting experience.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft Office software).
