Job description: Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Construction Cost Estimator to join their expanding team. This role involves analyzing project requirements, preparing comprehensive cost estimates, and ensuring accurate budgeting for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is experienced, analytical, and team-focused, with a strong understanding of construction processes and cost management.Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
• Project Analysis: Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope and requirements.
• Budgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
• Bid Preparation: Compile and present bid proposals to clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
• Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and negotiate quotes.
• Cost Management: Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to the budget.
• Reporting: Generate and maintain detailed reports on estimated and actual project costs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cost estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
