Job description: Job OverviewAs a count room attendant, you will be responsible for the slot pull and the daily reconciliation with Alberta gaming on the slot pull, as well as assisting in balancing of the VLT, TRK and ATMs, as well as the reconciliation of Concession.Responsibilities and Duties:Completes pulls for all slot machines, ensuring all stacker boxes are properly retrieved and processed.Processes slot machine stacker boxes and VLT (Video Lottery Terminal) stacker boxes, accurately counting, sorting, and recording the contents.Counts and verifies concession bags to ensure accurate amounts and proper documentation.Makes bank deposits for Brinks pick-up, preparing all funds for secure transportation.Counts and verifies funds delivered from Brinks, ensuring accuracy and cross-checking with required records.Manages NRT (Non-Revenue Ticket) and ATM return counts and fills, ensuring proper documentation and accounting.Reconciles daily paperwork to ensure balancing, accurate cash handling, and identifying any discrepancies or errors.Performs any other duties as required by management, including assisting with other count room functions or tasks as needed.Other duties as assigned.Physical Demands of the Role:Regular bending, lifting, standing, and repetitive movements, particularly when pulling stacker boxes from up to 500 slot machines.Lifting and handling heavy stacker boxes, which requires strength and stamina to prevent physical strain.Maintaining focus and accuracy during physically strenuous tasks to ensure proper counting and documentation of funds.Consistent physical activity over extended periods, requiring endurance and the ability to manage physical fatigue.Utilization of proper ergonomic techniques to minimize the risk of injury and maintain efficiency.Adherence to breaks and rest periods to manage the physical toll and ensure optimal performance and safety.Education and Experience

• High school or equivalency

• Criminal record check and current AGLC registration gaming licence

• Acquire “Responsible Gambling” certification for slot machines and VLT’s

• AML Certification

• Knowledge of computers and basic excel

Skills and Abilities

• Lifting, up to and including 50 lbs

• Climbing stairs, bending, crouching, lifting, pulling, pushing, twisting, stretching, and turning

• Frequent walking and standing

• Potentially interacting with confrontational and/or potentially angry patrons.

• Accepts responsibility for own actions

Expected salary: $16.25 per hour
