Developing skilled university graduates to be vibrant, contributing innovators is key to the future and the ATB CPA Pre-Approved Program does just that.ATB’s CPA Pre-Approved Program provides successful candidates with a range of opportunities to obtain core competencies required for the CPA designation. This is a three year rotational program across our Corporate Accounting, Complex Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting areas, so you get your Practical Experience Requirements (PER) for CPA in the areas of: Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Audit & Assurance, Finance, Strategy & Governance.AccountabilitiesWhy get your designation with ATB?

  • You will receive all the financial and educational support for your program studies including: full cost of the first writing of the CPA program and Densmore CFE prep course, being paired with a CPA-approved mentor to help you make the most of your experience, additional paid leave to study for exams and employment benefits.
  • Your pay scale is set up to reflect your progression through the CPA program.

Skills, experience & requirementsAre you up for it?Education & Experience

  • University degree students completing their final year of studies in Commerce or Business – specializing in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Strong academic results
  • Have all prerequisite courses to enter the Professional Education Program (PEP)
  • Business or accounting related work experience is considered an asset
  • Involvement in extracurricular business or accounting activities is an asset

  • Detail oriented and strong time management & organizational skills
  • The ability to adapt to new situations and prioritize when needed
  • Strong communications skills
