Job description: Position Summary:Acuren is currently hiring an Collections Supervisor who is dedicated, energetic, professional, and detail oriented to join our Team. Reporting to the Shared Service Finance Manager, this position based in our Sherwood Park office plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while supporting the overall financial operations of the company. Responsibilities:This position is a senior level role, responsible for supervising and managing the credit collections and cash application functions within the Shared Services finance department of our publicly traded inspection service and industrial service company. This role requires a strong focus on building efficient processes, leading a team through change, and ensuring timely and accurate management of accounts receivable.
- Lead and supervise the credit collections and cash application team to ensure timely and accurate processing of receivables
- Day to day supervision of staff; managing workloads, vacation coverage, performance and training
- Sharing the workload with the team on a daily basis, which involves tasks such as collections, handling credit applications and processing cash
- Serving as the primary point of escalation for the team and providing backup support for all functions as needed
- Develop and implement best practices and process improvements to optimize the credit and collections process
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues and disputes
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members
- Monitor key metrics and KPIs to track team performance and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager and Regional Controllers to develop and implement strategies for improving overall cash flow
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to credit and collections
- Other work duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in credit collections and cash application roles, including at least 1 year in a leadership position.
- Prior experience in a publicly traded company is preferred.
