Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Credit Manager’s primary responsibilities include:
- Managing credit risk within the risk tolerances of the organization
- Authorize new credit and increases to existing credit within company policies and procedures
- Perform regular credit reviews of existing portfolio
- Manage billing and collection
- Work proactively with customers to determine the reason for delinquency and any mitigation steps that can be taken
- Ensure billing is in accordance with customer agreements to minimize payment delays
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and ensure aging stays within target parameters
- Work as a business partner with other operational departments
- Supervise a team of 3 people and provide mentorship and support
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree is an asset
- Experience supervising staff
- Proactive problem solver with good EQ
- Strong credit/collections experience is an asset
