This role will directly support the Director of Digital Solutions by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive data-driven decision-making for Baker Tilly Catalyst and its clients. The Data Analyst will ensure data integrity, develop actionable insights, and create reports and dashboards to support business transformation, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.Responsibilities:
- Data Collection, Cleaning & ETL Processes: Gathering data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, and developing ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
- Reporting, Visualization & Automation: Creating interactive dashboards and reports, communicating insights to stakeholders, and automating reporting tasks.
- Data Analysis & Insights Generation: Analyzing data to identify trends and patterns, performing forecasting, predictive modeling, and developing KPIs to align with business objectives.
- API Connectivity & Data Pipeline Management: Setting up and maintaining API connectivity, optimizing API calls, and ensuring data pipelines are operational.
- Process Setup, Documentation & Data Governance: Establishing SOPs for data processes, documenting workflows, and maintaining data governance standards.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & Ad Hoc Analysis: Partnering with various teams to provide data-driven recommendations, supporting ad hoc data requests, and contributing to special projects.
- Big Data & Cloud Technologies (Preferred): Familiarity with Azure Data Services, AWS, Google Cloud, or Databricks for data processing and analytics.
- Version Control (Preferred): Utilize Git/GitHub for managing and tracking changes in data workflows and scripts.
The successful candidate will have:Educational Background:
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
- Knowledge of accounting or finance is a plus.
- Microsoft certifications is a plus.
Technical Skills· Data Visualization: Power BI.· Statistical Software: R, SAS, SPSS, or Python.· Database Management: SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.· Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA macros.· API Integration & Data Pipelines: Experience setting up and managing API connectivity.· Version Control (Preferred): Git/GitHub.· Big Data & Cloud Technologies (Preferred): Azure Data Services, AWS, Google Cloud, or Databricks.When you join us, you can expect:
