Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat you’ll be doingYou’ll be a key role in Data Protection Services (DPS) team, an innovative team with many brand new services provided at enterprise level, to provide data protection/discovery related services such as Data Element Level Protection (DELP), Test Data As a Service (TDaaS), and Data Discovery and Remediation (DDaR) services. As an Data Security Engineer, you and your team will work with business partner, vendors, consumers, QA and Application Operation (AO) partners on integration, configuration, development, implementation, troubleshooting as well as delivering services and providing PROD support.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 5 days per month on-site, while other days will be remote.How you’ll succeedDesign, Develop and Support – Act as a SME on the analysis of requirements, estimations for assigned work packages and coordination for end-to-end implementation of program specific solutions. Lead the development of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives while also maintaining existing applications. Work with vendors and internal partners to build, configure and deploy DPS services from DEV, UAT to PROD.Work with consumers and AO teams to deliver data protection and data discovery services per project plan or business requests. Provide production support, and work with AO partners on problem troubleshooting and resolving.Programming Ability – Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities: develop specifications, code, test, debug, document, and automate via DevOps CI/CD in order to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of programs.Lead & Influence – Lead code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements, and CIBC standards. Provide system integration testing support, user acceptance testing support and production support. Lead troubleshoot session on complex problems identified during project/in production.Work with consumers to integrate certified protection services.Who you areYou can demonstrate knowledge in:3+ years of IT hands-on working experienceStrong knowledge of Linux OS and shell scriptingStrong knowledge of Python language (2+ years)Strong knowledge of container technologyHands on experience of DevOps: Github/Git Actions, CI/CD, Maven, Jenkins and ArtifactoryHands on knowledge of Restful API and databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)Nice to have: ServiceNow, Databricks, Azure networking, load balancers, LDAP/Active Directory, Authentication/Authorization, SSO, Digital certificatesYour influence makes an impact.
