We put creativity and inclusivity at the core of our work and don’t settle for seeing the world only as it is but strive to build a world as it could be.You will report to a studio Development Director.As a DevOps Software Engineer at Maxis, you willCollaborate with the development teams and use industry-standard CI/CD solutions to build pipelines that automate common operational tasksWrite applications to monitor service health, perform log analysis, and automate recoveryApply software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operationsWork towards operational excellence by identifying opportunities to automate away manual processes.Partner with the development team technical director on build engineering to understand team requirements, evaluate options, develop roadmaps and ensure needs are addressed in a complex, multi-partner environmentProvide Critical support when changes are pushed to dev lines for the game teamsMaintain documentation of systems configurations and procedures, including runbooks for DevOps tasks.Evaluate and adopt technologies that improve the team efficiency and platform capabilitiesWork with a global team to implement technologies and support integrationAnalyze incidents in a postmortem process to ensure preventative measuresQualificationsPlease note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. º $96,400 – $133,900 CAN AnnuallyBase salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.Understand software configuration management and release management.Well-versed in the use and administration of CI/CD frameworks, Jenkins or othersExperience setting up and deploying a CI/CD environment, a ‘large-scale’ environment. (being a sole or, tech lead in the process)Experience working with ticketing systems such as JIRA.Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for internal and external use.Passion for automation and workflow efficiency.
