This is where you can do your best work.Join us at the intersection of saving and sustaining lives—where your purpose accelerates our mission.Role and ResponsibilitiesRaw Material Buyer is responsible for executing the raw material planning and delivery scheduling for the Plant.Control all elements of the RM planning process with the end goal to create purchase orders that will be sent to both internal and external suppliers * Scheduling deliveries of materials as per orders lead times, production requirements and agreed contract parameters

• Updating and maintaining MRP system to ensure an accurate output, which will deliver the result aligned to production requirements and inventory goals
• Working with suppliers and inbound logistics teams to manage any stock discrepancies or supplier non-deliveries
• Continually review and assess risk to production should any supplier issue arises
• Communicate information to all stakeholders in a timely manner
• Work closely with counterparts to ensure the finished good plan is met and there is no impact due to RM constraints.
• Communicate orders and procurement forecasts to Suppliers
• Manage and maintain orders in ERP system
• Manage product supply risks & issues with Suppliers, inform stakeholders where appropriate
• Define & agree Supplier related parameters with suppliers, PSM & Network Planners
• Weekly firming of purchase orders in Rapid Response with Network Planner
• Communicate firmed purchase orders and any call-offs with supplier
• Monitor performance of plan and resolve local issues
• Review supplier performance with PSM
• Work with Network Planner to monitor and adjust planning parameters
• Work with Plant Team and Network Planner to resolve SNC risk on supply or inventory
• Review all open/past due orders
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure production schedule can be achieved without any disruptions
• Work closely with Shipping Coordinator to expedite any inbound materials at risk of stock out
• Report quarterly reserves to Finance Team
• Resolve any vendor payment issues

Qualifications and Education Requirements· Third level qualification and/or equivalent level of experience with an emphasis in Supply Chain or Operations· Demonstrable strategic level of operational and/or supply chain experience· Strong people skills and the ability to work effectively with people across many different functions· Competent skills, particularly within Excel, reading and creating reports and conducting analysis for business decisions· Demonstrates strategic thinking, influencing and change management skills· Will work collaboratively with Manufacturing teams to understand their constraints and needs at the current time as well as what is anticipated for the future· Knowledge of Demand Planning and Supply Planning· Kinaxis Rapid Response / JDE / GME knowledge would be considered an advantage· In-depth understanding of all aspects of end-to-end supply chain and how we interact with other functionsReasonable AccommodationsBaxter is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities globally.
