Job description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Distribution Operations to lead a Distribution Center in Toronto, Ontario.The Director of Distribution will set the strategic direction for the facility and oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring that we meet key metrics related to service, cost, safety, and personnel.Strong leadership will be essential in building and maintaining both new and existing relationships, ensuring that our operations align with company standards.If you are passionate about driving efficiency and fostering a collaborative team environment, we want to hear from you!Advantages
Straight Day Shift
Salary: $180,000 + package
Monday – Friday
Company perksResponsibilities
Foster high employee engagement to achieve production, quality, safety, and positive labor relations standards.
Drive continuous process improvement using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance cost, service, and productivity while engaging employees.
Build relationships with Company and Union leadership to create a productive, adaptable work environment.
Prepare and manage the annual budget, including capital expenditures and labor costs.
Hire and develop management and supervisory teams to ensure effective succession planning and skills development.
Create network programs to improve processes and share best practices.
Lead and develop direct reports to optimize overall performance.
Utilize strong problem-solving and communication skills to influence and connect across the organization.
Establish partnerships across teams to meet customer service goals and encourage a positive work environment.Qualifications
10+ years of distribution experience
6+ years in a senior leadership role within a medium distribution center.
In-depth knowledge of distribution flow, integration, and automation processes.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold a large team accountable for performance.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
Background in L.E.A.N, Kaizen a plusSummary
