  • Leadership and Strategy:
  • Develop and implement logistics and warehouse strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
  • Lead and manage the warehouse teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of logistics and warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and material handling processes to maximize space utilization and minimize costs.
  • Supply Chain Optimization:
  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, suppliers, and other vendors and external partners.
  • Implement and manage advanced logistics technologies and systems to enhance visibility, tracking, and reporting.
  • Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage the logistics and warehouse budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Analyze and report on financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Talent Development:
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing logistics and warehouse team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits, risk assessments, and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure that all employees are informed of and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the retail industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful logistics and warehouse strategies.
  • Background in operations management, process definition, and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, logistics technologies, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Experience in implementing new ERP/WMS systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
