Job description: Drafting Technician
Our client is looking for a Drafting Technician to join their team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating documentation for our installation team. The projects you will be working on are a variety of audio-visual and control systems, including video walls, large sound systems, performance lighting, and control systems.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Complete a wide variety of drawing types:

• AV schematics, Locations, Elevations, Rack Layout, Conduit Risers, Input Plate Diagrams, Custom Mounting Solutions
• Communicate with key stakeholders regarding requirements, concerns, and status
• Adapt to changing project requirements
• Maintain an organized file system for storing relevant documents
• Complete as-builts from received drawings
• Participate in weekly meetings
• Keep up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies.
• Pass a security clearance as needed

Your strengths include:

• 5 years of general AV experience in a paid or volunteer role
• Experience using Microsoft Visio
• Experience using DTools – System Integrator
• Experience using AutoCAD LT will be considered an asset
• Experience reading architectural and structural drawing sets
• Committed to continual learning
