As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking Engineering Students for our Calgary District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that are available for 4, 8, 12 or 16 months starting in January 2025.As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:ResponsibilitiesProject CoordinationCoordinating drawingsCoordinating work specific scope / tradesConducting trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify ratesParticipating in project meetingsConducting deficiency walksInputting / Updating deficiency logsIssuing warrantiesTaking / Coordinating progress photosUpdating field drawingsProducing as-built drawingsField CoordinationPerforming quantity takeoffsCoordinating sub-trade workVerifying site conditions and coordinating with drawingsSupervising sub-trade workSetting-up / Maintaining record keepingLayout site lines and grades using total stationCoordinating onsite logistics of material and equipmentIn-field production trackingImplementation and daily tracking of a Quality Management planScheduling:Updating project schedulesCreating manual schedulesObtain scheduling information from sub-tradesCreating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCADMonitoring workforce productivityQualificationsValid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle may be required depending on project location.Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.Next Step:Please note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.PCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
