Within a highly interactive team environment, this position will work closely with both functional and technical staff to implement solutions that will fulfill the client’s business requirements. The Information and Technology Services (ITS) department is looking for a professional with excellent organizational, analytical, and programming skills. You will be part of the team responsible for implementing, developing integrated solutions. You are a team player, with the right attitude to help create a winning team.Key Responsibilities:Under the guidance of the Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing support on creating innovative solutions including analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation. Specific tasks include the following:

  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and tasks.
  • Design, build, and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouse objects and ETL.
  • Support and build SSRS and PowerBI reports.
  • Prepare recommendations for business process improvements and create related design specifications; facilitate changes to the business process as management directs.
  • Implement software solutions by following NAIT’s policies and procedures and ITS’s development and documentation methodologies.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Transact-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with data modeling, data engineering, and ETL processes in Data Warehouse or Lakehouse development.
  • Proficient in data integration among different enterprise systems or data sources.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and time.
  • Ability to effectively track and document issues and their resolutions.
  • Problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to function in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Effectively responding to conflicting requirements and resource demands is a necessity.
  • Flexibility in hours and days are required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Related post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience developing IT solutions.
