Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind.Jardeg is recruiting an Equipment Operator with the MEG Energy Pipeline team on site near Conklin, Alberta. This is a full-time/temporary position on a 8/6 rotation, day shifts only. This is a drive-in / drive-out site.Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment and trucks.Responsibilities:

• Understanding and following all operating policy and procedures while operating equipment.
• Have experince in operating a construction-grade excavator.
• Receives written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.
• Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment.
• Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
• Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily.
• Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Previous construction experience
• Physical strength and stamina
• Manual dexterity
• Safety conscious attitude
• Construction Safety Training Systems 2020 Certification
• H2S Alive
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space
• Telehandler (Zoom boom) Ticket.
• Equipment Operator Ticket.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (no restrictions) and a clean 3 Year Driver’s Abstract.
