Together, we can build a better world. #INDJob DescriptionThe Equipment Warehouse Tool Tech will perform maintenance checks, minor repairs and services to a multitude of small hand tools and light equipment.

  • Pick orders as required through Tool Request Forms, walk-in and phone-in requests
  • Load, unload and identify tools and equipment and distribute them to the appropriate locations within the warehouse
  • Complete outgoing and incoming inspections of equipment
  • Responsible for general housekeeping in the warehouse, storage yard and external yard/shop
  • Be competent in coordinating equipment repairs with vendors.
  • Within the normal warehouse scope, Perform minor tool repairs as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in tool/shop work, and the construction industry.
  • Experience in tool rental is considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract is required
  • Experience in operation of larger vehicles and securing loads is an asset
  • Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Knowledge of First Aid and CPR is an asset
  • Able to operate required trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Requires ability to climb ladders for heights of up to 20ft.
  • Job requires ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80Lbs) for 50ft, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labour under adverse field conditions
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, using abdominal and lower-back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue, and be able to jump, sprint and throw and object effectively
