Job description: Bilingual (FR/ENG) Technical Support Engineer (ERP Software) – Remote – CanadaWe are hiring at Trendex for a Technical Support Agent to join our team! The ideal candidate is either someone with experience providing support for ERP software or someone with a background in Finance or Accounting.Here’s a little window into our company:Trendex is part of Valsoft Corporation, an investment company that buys, enhances, and grows software businesses providing mission-critical services.Trendex is a software developer and service organization specializing in ERP software for gas and welding supplies distributors. They offer specialized, turnkey ERP software for industrial gas distributors. Trendex serves customers across North America and supports them through internet communication from their Head Office in Montreal, Canada. All their software is developed in-house and tailored to meet the needs of the North American market. They also sell hardware to their customers because it’s programmed to work with their software.Trendex’s ERP software can automate and streamline business functions like accounting procedures, inventory control, and purchasing, or specialized ones like cylinder tracking and hazmat calculations. Unifying these operational facets into one central system helps keep businesses more organized, saving valuable time and – ultimately – cutting down costs. This lifts some of the burdens off employees, improving efficiency, increasing accuracy, and ultimately enhancing operations.The successful candidate will be bilingual in French and English and will work remotely from anywhere in Canada. However, normal working hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.What your day will look like:
- The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing customers with software support, quality control over software design, and systems implementation, as well as customer training.
- Serve as client support for Trendex customers by responding to customer calls, emails, and other inquiries regarding Trendex products and services.
- Troubleshoot and assist Trendex customers with service and hardware issues in accordance with established SLAs.
- Develop a firm understanding of Trendex to the degree of becoming a superuser.
- Communicate effectively with the implementation team throughout the project lifecycle to understand customer needs, ensuring project delivery success.
- Ability to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Perform data mapping and migration activities.
About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of ERP software experience.
- Must be able to work US Eastern Time Zone hours on a regular basis.
- Strong communication skills.
- Highly organized.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
- Good understanding of business concepts and accounting principles, as well as ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of accounting/distribution software.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Self-starter – Shows initiative.
