Job description: Job Posting: Estimator – Public Institutional Projects (Full-Time)We are urgently seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in public institutional projects to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $70K – $110K , based on experience. The role involves working on public contracts for renovations and new construction projects valued between $2M and $10M .Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for public institutional projects (e.g., schools, hospitals, government buildings).
• Analyze project documents, scope, and client requirements to determine project costs.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines and budgets.
• Prepare bids for public tenders, adhering to specific requirements and regulations.
• Minimal site visits required; the role is primarily office-based.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as an Estimator, ideally with general contractors on public institutional projects.
• Must have completed at least 2 institutional projects , with an additional 3 years of experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• Experience in residential projects is NOT accepted .
• No specific academic background required, but construction experience is a must.
• Preferred age range: 30-50 years .
• Ability to start as soon as possible.

Location:

• Candidates should ideally reside on the South Shore or close to the Jean Cartier Bridge or tunnel for a manageable commute to the office.
• Remote work is not available , and the candidate must be willing to work on-site. One day of remote work is permitted after the first month.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $70K – $110K depending on experience.
• Comprehensive benefits package: social, medical, and dental coverage , with employer contributions .
• 4 weeks of vacation , in addition to all paid construction holidays.
• 6 sick days and 48 hours of personal time annually.
• Annual performance-based bonus .
• Flexible working conditions with 1 day of teleworking per week (after the first month).

Additional Notes:

• While full-time is preferred, the company is open to contractual estimators , but they must work on-site.
• No options for negotiating longer working days or full-time remote work.
