We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with a minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial construction, tenant improvements, retail petroleum, and residential housing projects. The Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive project cost estimates, collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful and profitable project delivery.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects including commercial buildings, tenant improvements, retail petroleum stations, and residential housing.

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope, materials, labour, and time requirements.

• Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Maintain current knowledge of market rates and construction methods in the Edmonton region.

• Participate in pre-construction meetings and support the project team through budgeting and bidding phases.

• Identify risks and opportunities within project scopes and pricing.

• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during the design and estimating phases.

• Maintain organized records of estimates, bid results, and project data.

• Assist in preparing project schedules and coordinating bid submissions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of estimating experience in construction, with proven success in commercial, tenant improvement, retail petroleum, and residential sectors.

• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel).

• Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and Alberta market pricing.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.
