Job description: Job DescriptionAs the Field Engineer, you will supervise engineering work around acquiring, analyzing, engineering, and interpreting geo-related data to provide accurate and customized services to clients. This individual will be a blend of onsite/client field visits and office setting. The primary focus of the role is to ensure productive field services are being provided accurately.Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages mid-complexity projects (3-4), and leads a project team to achieve an optimal balance between cost, time, and quality
  • Ensure both effective and efficient execution of the project in such a way that the QHSSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met
  • Stimulate effective decision-making.
  • Takes part and leads discipline standardization/improvement initiatives.
  • Key contacts & relationships include Project Delivery Manager, Project Directors, and Client Project Management Teams.
  • Leads project teams and works collaboratively across multiple service lines and business units.
  • Mentors and supports more junior members of the team.
  • Is guided by Project Directors and Project Delivery managers. Applies broad knowledge of professional principles and practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Legally Authorized to work in Canada, without restrictions
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Sciences, Remote sensing, Geography; major or significant course work in project management preferred and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects and handle billing and other financial items
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, both internal and external
  • Possess technical depth and creativity to be able to make sound decisions and to guide and direct project teams and multiple full project life cycles
  • Dedication and commitment to client satisfaction and company profitability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong working knowledge of computers and fluent in a variety of software applications (including but not limited to MS Office)
