With more than 10,000 Team Members, we are well known for the quality of our services as well as our ability tobring people together and create exceptional guest experiences.As part of the Accounting team, which is generally split out by business unit (Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts, etc), this role reports to the Controller and is responsible for the corporately managed business lines including real estate development, capital investment and other areas as directed.
ResponsibilitiesAccounting and Financial ReportingLead full cycle accounting responsibilities for the applicable business lines ensuring accurate and timely results are provided to the business.
Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and various other reports.
Liaise with operations management on accounting issues.
Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are performed on a timely basis.
Maintain effective internal controls, identify risks and propose recommendations for required control changes as necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, prioritizing automation where possible.
Build great working relationships with the business to promote synergies.
Support the annual external financial statement audits and tax filing requirements.
Perform other accounting duties as required including researching appropriate accounting treatment for unique transactions.Role RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
CPA designation, or working towards accounting designation.
Experience in full-cycle accounting role with a strong working knowledge of GAAP.
Strong financial analysis skills and independent problem solving.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communicator and team player with an ability to have fun in the wonderful world of accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and ERP systems (D365 experience would be an asset).SUMMATION:
