Closing Date: Until FilledJOB SUMMARYReporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Financial Accountant assists in the timely recording of all financial transactions, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as with year-end and periodic audits. This position provides value-added support to financial decision-making by preparing various management reports and ensures the integrity of the financial information by creating, reviewing, and posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations as well as investigating and resolving discrepancies. The Financial Accountant responds to financial inquiries and provides advice by reviewing operational issues, applying accounting principles and practices, and developing recommendations.The successful candidate requires strong attention to detail and time management skills to balance and prioritize multiple assignments. The ability to work independently as well as collectively as a team to achieve results is important. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to exercise good judgement in decision making are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also important to work with individuals from all business areas in the organization with various understanding of accounting policies and procedures.Check out the AGLC offers!SKILLS & ABILITIES
