We are also the exclusive Canadian distributor of Italy’s finest Rio Mare, Lavazza products and Kicking Horse Coffee in Canada.Position Summary:Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Accountant (F.A) is accountable for preparation of the Financial Statements for all Santa Maria plants and Distribution Centres the F.A drives all day to day accounting operations with a detailed level of precision and accuracy. Responsible for -full cycle accounting in their specific areas and accounting oversight for production and Grocery related transaction–sites include Goreway, Humberline, Belleville and all the distribution centers..Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial reports and working papers, providing analysis and commentary to all financial results. Support external audit liaison and completion;
- Mindset of Continuous improvement Sees an opportunity for something to improves, takes notes and makes plan for executes across the business units.
- Identify opportunities, develop tools and implement improved reporting to assist operational supervision in the management of their business units and to enable better business decisions.
- Identify, develop and present recommendations for streamlining existing processes to help generate synergies between locations and team members, including, but not limited to, internal control systems, reporting
- requirements.
Requirements:
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) is preferred.
- Minimum five years of accounting, analysis and financial reporting experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry an asset);
- Strong interpersonal skills partnered with the ability to communicate effectively with all areas of the organization;
- Excellent time management skills, strong communication, conflict resolution and analytical skills;
- Strong financial systems and master data governance experience.
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook); expert Excel skills.
