Job description: Financial AnalystWe are on the search for a self starting Financial Analyst with excellent analytical skills, and an inquisitive mind! Our client is searching for someone with an affinity for data and technology! The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling that will support strategic planning.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Prepare budgeting and forecasting models to support strategic decision making
• Research and analyze contract costs to perform financial analysis in comparing IT options
• Consult with stakeholders to gain additional knowledge of the budget proposal and forecast information
• Support capital expenditure requests and processes.
• Assist with contract management related tasks
• Monitor operations and capital spending against budget to provide timely feedback and make recommendations on resource allocation

Your strengths include:

• University degree in Commerce, with an Accounting or Finance Major
• 3+ years’ experience in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial modeling
• Self starting personality with the ability to work independently as well as within a broader team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analytics. Power BI is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience in capital or project costing would be an asset
• Previous experience in the technology industry or interest in technology is an asset.
