Location: Edmonton, Alberta, T6B 2X3
Duration: 6 Months + 12 Months possible extension
Description:
Candidates will apply their accounting skills to full cycle accounting and financial reporting, including developing and executing month end processes, financial analysis, dashboards and external/internal reporting.
ALL REQUIRED EXPERIENCE SHOULD BE DESCRIBED IN RESUME UNDER THE JOB/PROJECT WHERE EXPERIENCE WAS ATTAINED.
Must Have:
Education:

• Experience using accounting principles and Canadian public sector accounting standards or equivalent. – 5 years
• CPA designation – Yes

Work Experience:

• Experience with and knowledge of financial reporting ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial statements and using Microsoft Excel. (5 years)
• Relevant work experience and experience with Microsoft Office. (5 years)
• The ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.(5 years)
• Experience with public sector accounting. 5 years
• Experience in the Government of Alberta environment or an environment of equivalent size and complexity.
• Experience with the Government of Alberta financial system (1GX)
