Job description: Our client, a stable, high profile organization is seeking a Financial Operations Accountant to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will have articled and completed their CPA designation and have 1-2 years post designation experience working in industry in a full cycle, accounting operations position.Reporting to the leadership team, duties will include but not be limited to;

• Managing the month-end close and processes
• Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements
• Journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Auditor facilitation
• Preparing tax schedules, and regulatory filings and reporting
• Accounting research, policy documentation and implementation
• Preparing ESG analysis and annual ESG reporting
• Ad hoc reporting and process improvement projects as required

Experience for this position will ideally include;

• Experience with financial reporting (IFRS)
• Financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with tax schedules and regulator filings
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working with ERP systems
• Strong digital environment skills and a drive for process excellence
• Experience within the metals and mining industry is an asset
• Experience of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) is an asset
