Job description: Our client, a stable, reputable organization is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will have articled and completed their CPA designation and have 1-2 years post designation experience working in industry in a financial reporting (IFRS) position.Reporting to the leadership team, duties will include but not be limited to;

• General journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliation
• Monthly financial reporting to senior management
• Preparing tax schedules, and regulatory filings and reporting
• Managing month end close and processes
• Accounting research and policy documentation and implementation
• Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements and MD&A
• Auditor facilitation
• Testing, maintenance and monitoring internal controls
• Ad hoc reporting and projects as required
• Experience working with tax schedules and regulatory filings
• Proficient in financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with Qbyte considered an asset
• A drive for process improvement

The ideal candidate profile includes;

• CPA with 1-2 years post designation, having articled in public practice, followed by 1-2 years industry experience
• You are accountability, a problem-solver and are systems savvy
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills, being both timely and transparent
