Job description: Financial Reporting ManagerOur Calgary client is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their team. The successful individual will be responsible for leading the preparation and filing of all external financial reports ensuring compliance with IFRS. This role collaborates closely with senior leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial disclosures.Your success will be defined by your ability to:
· Manage quarterly and annual filings
· Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, MD&A, and Annual Information Form
· Perform variance analysis trend for senior management and reports to the Board of Trustees
· Lead implementation of new accounting standards
· Support month-end and year-end close processes.
· Review and approve month-end and year-end journal entries.
· Coordination of internal control testing, design and implementation of internal controls
· Coordinate with external auditors and provide required financial documents
· Management of tax remittances and filings, as well as other tax filings and projects
· Involvement in the preparation and review of the annual budget and forecasts
· Project work including process improvements and automation efforts
· Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the corporate accounting teamYour strengths include:
· Designated CPA/CFA
· 7+ years’ experience, with 3 years IFRS reporting
· Public accounting and REIT experience strongly preferred.
