Job description: Job Description:THE ROLE:Are you an experienced accountant with a knack for capital assets and a passion for detail? We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Capital Asset Accountant for a 6-month contract. If you’re ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role, look no further!Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide Junior Capital Accountant in their daily tasks
• Thoroughly review fixed asset transactions including transfers in service, disposals, maintenance capitals, and gross capitals
• Conduct detailed variance analysis of budget to actual figures
• Ensure accurate quarter-end reporting and year-to-date analysis
• Perform quarterly account reconciliations with precision
• Collaborate with the commercial group to identify capital projects and ensure proper documentation and categorization of AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure)

• CPA Certification: Your professional expertise is crucial to our team

• Preference for Oil & Gas Experience: Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly valued

NICE TO HAVES:

• SAP Experience: Strong familiarity with SAP is strongly preferred
• Supervisory Experience: Ability to review the work of capital accountants and provide constructive feedback
