As a recognition of our commitment to quality and patient safety, we have received the highest distinction of Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada.Job SummaryThe Food Services Associate performs dietary related tasks such as food portioning, minor food preparation including sandwich making, taking meal selections with patients, tray assembly, tray delivery and soiled tray collection, ware washing, restocking pantries, general sanitation of area, etc. Performs all related sanitation duties as per established procedures and WHMIS guidelines. The Food Services Associate role models the organization’s core competencies.Skills & Abilities

  • Food service work experience preferred
  • Food retail experience an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to read and write English and displays excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to departmental and legislated health and safety standards
  • Must be willing to work required shifts
  • Safety awareness
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills

  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Dietary Aide course, cooking program, HACCP training, or Proton course an asset

Expected salary: $26.75 – 27.24 per hour
