You will be responsible for instructing and guiding the concrete field crew for the installation of the concrete structure.Here’s how a Foreperson for our Toronto office contributes to our team:Responsibilities

  • Review and understand the Project Specific Safety and Environment Plan, ensuring it is understood and adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality control requirements.
  • Complete pre-pour sign-off inspections as per the engineered drawings and act as the competent site designate.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of progress quantities.
  • Complete and keep a record of daily PSI’s, Toolbox Talks, and all required equipment inspection records.
  • Plan site logistics for safe and efficient movement of manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Implement the construction work plans and adhere to the project schedule.
  • Assist supervisors and forepersons in planning daily, weekly, and monthly production requirements to ensure timely project completion.
  • Produce and coordinate short interval look-ahead schedules.
  • Review site layout controls and maintain permanent survey reference points and benchmarks.
  • Verify all equipment inventory and manpower timecards, ensuring they are properly coded and submitted on time.
  • Maintain the project’s Daily Job Diary.
  • Promote productivity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor and assist with the development of the hourly crew.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Foreperson (experience with ICI construction project an asset).
  • Experience supervising daily activities of a form crew of 5 or more.
  • Experience with reading and understanding architectural, structural, and formwork engineered drawings and specifications.
  • Experience and understanding of the installation and modification of pre-engineered panelized and loose wood formwork systems.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
